Christmas

Christmas is officially awesome with a toddler. Jonathan was so much fun today. (And I couldn't sleep last night because I was so excited about seeing him with all his new toys today!!!)

Despite our excitement, we decided to start out the day slow by letting all our friends take an quick rest on our blankie.
Then, we enjoyed saying Christmas-y things for the camera.
Please excuse the large boogie.

Presents Presents Presents Presents!

Of course his new truck from Pop and Bebe was a favorite of the day.
We did a lot of Skype-present-opening with South Carolina family.
He got lots of new trucks from G and Poppi!
Why not make a funny face for the Skype recipients to show how thankful I am?

He really got the hang of this present thing. Just saying "present" prompted a quick plop onto the nearest lap, eager to tear open some paper.
Another crowd-pleaser of the day: a train set. His favorite thing is pushing the trains "under bridge."

He got the hang of it pretty quickly by himself and has been playing with it most of the day.
He is currently saying "Island of Sodor" over and over.

Rounding out the day by riding on Daddy's back.

(Not pictured: Aunt Susu, who spent the day with us; Jonathan drinking "coffee" along with the grown-ups; and his new Sock Monkey that we named "Boo," which is short for "Boo Gamecocks.")

MAN we had such a wonderful day. Thanks to all our families who spent hours on the computer Skyping with us. It made us feel like we were with you :) Hope your day was WONDERFUL!!!
