Our little buddy was SUCH a champ on our crazy day of travel yesterday.
Of course we had no idea what to expect... But the morning certainly started out unexpectedly. Susan was also flying out yesterday morning, but her ride to the airport didn't show up! So she called us at 6:30 am (we were supposed to leave at 8) to ask Jon for a ride. We had pretty much everything packed and were hoping for an easy, flexible morning based on what Jonathan needed, but our easy-going morning ended up with Jon barely getting back in time for us to catch our ride to the airport! And the other result of the craziness was that I left my phone in the nursery. It is right there on the arm of the chair. I brought my phone charger though! Can't forget that!
Jonathan couldn't have done better on the plane. We swaddled him up right away, nursed him, and he got to enjoy several hours of nursing, sleeping, looking around, sleeping, nursing, sleeping, looking around, nursing. It was basically his dream come true. Here is little man in his assumed plane-riding position.
We got so many compliments about what a good baby we have! We know it's true. And it's all him--he makes it easy for us!
About 10 minutes before we landed in Columbia, he really woke up and was just content being swaddled up in my arms taking it all in.
He was just happy as could be and we couldn't figure out why he kept smiling so big while looking at the ceiling.
Then Jon looked up and realized the overhead control panel kind of resembled a face. We wondered if that is what was sparking those smiles!
So either our son is very advanced in recognizing similarities between objects and faces... or he's a little bit slow on the uptake.... err.. we'll go with the advanced option for now hehe :)

ADVANCED for sure!! :>)
